Edison Academy of Differentiated Learning: A GATE Magnet School

Edison Academy of Differentiated Learning is a vibrant TK through 8th-grade GATE magnet learning community where curiosity, challenge, and character come together. 

At Edison, academic success is important, but we believe the process matters just as much as the outcome. Students are encouraged to ask thoughtful questions, take intellectual risks, learn from mistakes, and develop the self-efficacy needed to believe, “I can do hard things.”

We believe students thrive when they are challenged, supported, and inspired. Through differentiated instruction, critical thinking opportunities, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving, Edison students engage in learning that encourages depth, complexity, and curiosity.

• Rigorous Learning: Students participate in a strong core academic program designed to challenge them and support continued growth in Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and beyond.
• Differentiated Instruction: Teachers use purposeful strategies to meet students where they are, extend learning, and encourage students to think deeply and creatively.
• Growth Mindset: Students learn that effort, reflection, and perseverance are essential parts of success. Mistakes are viewed as opportunities to learn and improve.
• Self-Efficacy: Throughout the year, students are encouraged to build confidence in their ability to set goals, overcome challenges, and take ownership of their learning.
